IV SEDATION

We have the ability to do all of our dental procedures while you sleep. You will not be awake, nor remember, when we gave you dental anesthetic. When you waken, you will be finished with the procedures for the day and should have no anxiety.

Procedures that we do under IV sedation:

• children’s dentistry
• extractions (unrestorable teeth, wisdom teeth, full mouth extractions for dentures)
  
• root canals
  
• fillings
  
• crowns and bridges
  
• deep cleanings (also called scaling and root planing)
  
• implants
  
• other surgical procedures

To accomplish sleep dentistry, we rely on the services of Jeff Glasgow, CRNA, MSN with Advanced Specialty Anesthesia. Jeff brings to our office and sets up in the operatories with all of the required monitoring and delivery equipment to safely provide IV sedation. He follows stringent safety criteria. Jeff is a native of Topeka, graduated Seaman High School and graduated Emporia State University while on football scholarship. He graduated in nursing from Baker University. In 2001, Jeff graduated from KU medical Center School of Nurse Anesthesia. He has experience in trauma and ICU. He worked in the department of anesthesia at St. Francis Hospital. Since 2005, he has been in private practice specializing in office-based anesthesia, pediatric and special-needs adults. He serves over 40 different dentists across the state.

Advanced Specialty Anesthesia:
accepts most major insurance plans as “in-network”
performs pre-determinations with medical and dental insurance companies
has financial plans available including GE Care Credit

Jeff’s wife of 15 years, Kerry, and his three children, Grant, Kennedy and Madison keep him busy in Lawrence.
